What to Expect

Come and get ready to explore! At our first ever "Green Guardians" event families will not only learn the importance of recycling, but how to recycle properly! Kids will learn through fun art and crafts. Adults will listen to professional speakers and learn through fun activities of their own. Below, is a list of the activities along with the structure of the day.

The Idea for the Day: The Kids are ‘scientists’ in the year 3,000. In order for humans and other species to continue living on earth the new generation needs to stop polluting and start reusing recycling. These ‘scientists’  have been given the task by the president of the US to look for ways to stop pollution and more efficient ways of reusing recycling to save the world, after traveling across the world (each station) to discover way to accomplish this goal. At the end, these 'scientist' will be given materials and whichever team creates the best reused object/device wins and gets a special prize (this is only for kids who want to stay),  more details about the competition will be learned that day. Prizes will be handed out!

What You Can Do

Please give us some of your recycling! This can be bi-monthly, one time, or whatever other way you want to do it! The best part is that we come and get it from you. If you are coming to one of our community events, please bring some of your own recycling along with you!!! Before the event, we will send out an email with information including what specific materials we are looking for.
